Nick Foy is the founder of Greenway Wealth Advisors, an independent financial advisory firm located in Charlotte, NC.
Nick's passion is helping people use money as a tool to maximize their impact on their family, their community, and the world.
He started his career in finance at Vanguard in 2007, where he learned the most important foundational money management and time-tested investing principles. In 2011, Nick left Vanguard to open the Charlotte office of CAVU Wealth Advisors, an independent advisory firm based in California.
In 2018, he formed Greenway to create a firm that served the needs of Generation X & Y clients who tend to have views on money, finances, and retirement that are very different from those of prior generations.
Nick grew up in California and has called Charlotte home since 2005. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and completed his Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia. In 2010, Nick was awarded the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.
He married Natalie in 2006, and together they have two children: Theo and Nora.
Nick serves as a trustee at Mosaic Church in Charlotte, and is on the advisory board for the Dreamcatchers Society at Levine Children's Hospital where he also formerly served on the Family Advisory Council. Additionally, he spends time volunteering as a lunch buddy at Brookstone School.
In the wee hours of the morning, you can find Nick working out with the men of F3 Nation, and you might see him at the pool where he swims and plays water polo.
Allie joined Greenway Wealth in December 2017 as Director of Client Satisfaction. She spends her time making sure our clients are well cared for. She was drawn to the company by the opportunity to have an impact on people in a very tangible way.
Prior to Greenway, Allie was an elementary school teacher at a Title I school since 2013 where she learned a lot about people and the challenges that finances can create. She wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to assist people in a different environment. and was intrigued by the possibility to help our clients make a plan for, and take control of, their own financial lives. Greenway offered her that opportunity.
Allie grew up in Tampa, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science and her Master of Education. She then moved back to Charlotte with her native Charlottean husband where they have lived since 2013.
A passion for kids has been the driving force behind many of Allie’s life choices, even from a young age. She has volunteered for many organizations including The Buddy Walk, Habitat for Humanity, and City Of Refuge Ministries. She has been a tutor for underprivileged elementary students in both Ohio and North Carolina. Allie and her husband also hope to adopt one day soon.
Allie is also a foster for The Greater Charlotte SPCA and is usually happiest when she's surrounded by animals.
Jeff joined Greenway Wealth in November 2018 as Director of Financial Planning. Jeff was drawn to personal finance as a vehicle to empower people, and he enjoys helping lift the weight of financial burden so clients can pursue what’s most meaningful to them.
He began his journey in finance at Vanguard in 2015 where he learned the foundations of investing principles and walked alongside clients as they worked towards their goals. Jeff’s move to Greenway allows him to work more comprehensively with clients to give them the best chance for success.
Jeff grew up in Kannapolis, North Carolina and has called the state home most of his life. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and completed his Certificate in Financial Planning from NYU. In 2018, Jeff received his CFP® certification.
Jeff and his wife Grace were married in 2016 in the North Carolina mountains, one of their favorite places in the world. They have a son named Forrest who was born in 2018. They recently moved back from Arizona to Davidson, NC and love to spend time outdoors.
Stretching through the heart of Charlotte, the Little Sugar Creek Greenway has become a hub of activity, providing urban residents with easy access to a natural landscape.
In 2011, when Nick's son Theo was born, he spent his first three months in the NICU at Levine Children's Hospital, which sits adjacent to the greenway. Walks on the greenway offered the chance to decompress, and provided a bit of freedom from a difficult situation, and the opportunity to dream about what the future might hold.
To us, the greenway embodies what we want to be as a firm: We offer our clients a place to slow down, discuss, and plan their financial future, helping to put them in a position to maximize their impact and ensuring they have the financial flexibility to make meaningful life choices.
We believe in placing your best interests first.
Therefore, we are proud to commit to the following five fiduciary principles:
- We will always put our clients' best interests first.
- We will act with prudence; that is, with the skill, care, diligence, and good judgment of a professional.
- We will not mislead you, and we will provide conspicuous, full and fair disclosure of all important facts.
- We will avoid conflicts of interest.
- We will fully disclose and fairly manage, in your favor, any unavoidable
